Nigeria has more pressing issues to tackle now than this — Olayokun reacts to expulsion from NAGAFF

A former National Secretary of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dipo Olayokun has reacted to his alleged expulsion from the association.

SHIPS & PORTS reported on Monday that NAGAFF announced Olayokun’s expulsion from its fold and declared him “a persona non grata” over his alleged role in the crisis rocking the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

The founder of NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Aniebonam is also the founder of NNPP. However, Aniebonam and the flag bearer of NNPP in the 2023 presidential election, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have been at loggerheads since the party lost the election.

The rift between the duo came to a head after a faction loyal to Kwankwaso expelled Aniebonam from the party last year.

However, while speaking with SHIPS & PORTS on his expulsion by NAGAFF on Monday, Olayokun said while he would not want to speak on the development, he believes Nigeria has more pressing issues to deal with than his expulsion from the freight forwarding association.

“Thank you for calling me in respect to this. I must say before God and man, I have no comment concerning the expulsion. It is not something I would want to talk about. Nigeria has more pressing issues to tackle now than this.

“I want to thank SHIPS & PORTS for calling to know my own side of the story, but the truth is that there is no comment from my end,” Olayokun said.
