The 10th edition of the annual Ships & Ports Maritime Cup competition kicked off in grand style on Tuesday at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos. The participating teams filed out in their various colours before several dignitaries including the Managing Director of NPA, Hajia Hadiza Bala-Usman who was represented by the General Manager, Human Resources, Yahaya Bukar and Chairman, Shipowners Forum, Barrister Margaret Onyema-Orakwusi, who is also a member of the Governing Board of Nigerian Shippers’ Council.

After the colourful parade, Bukar performed the ceremonial kick off of the competition on behalf of Bala-Usman.
