PTML Customs collects N234bn in 11 months

The Port Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of Nigeria Customs Service has collected a total N234 billion as revenue as at November 30, 2023 thereby surpassing the November 2022 collection of N214 billion by N20.9 billion which represents a 9.8 percent increase.

Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the command, Comptroller Saidu Abba Yusuf, who disclosed this shortly after a reception ceremony for ‘MV Great Lagos, a Grimaldi owned container-roro ship, expressed optimism in meeting the 2023 revenue target of the command.

He said officers are fully deployed to work optimally in line with the assurances they gave to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, when he visited the command two months ago.

The Controller said the visit of ‘MV Great Lagos’, a ship with capacity to carry 2,500 car equivalent units (CEUs) and 2,500 TEUs of containers, shows the capacity of the command to receive and process increased number of imported cargoes.
