Police begin search for doctor who jumped into Lagoon

Officials of the Lagos State Command, Nigeria Police Force, have commenced search for a medical doctor who reportedly jumped into the lagoon on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos on Sunday.

Officlas of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are also working with the Police to locate the man.

The yet-to-be-identified medical doctor was reportedly being driven in a Nissan Xtrail SUV with registration number LND 476 EE, when he asked the driver to stop mid-way on the bridge, with the excuse that he wanted to check something on the body of the car.

The unsuspecting driver reportedly stopped only for the man to jump off the bridge into the lagoon.

The incident occurred between Adekunle and Adeniji end of the bridge.

Both the driver and the vehicle have been taken to the police station.
