CRFFN sets to accredit NAGAFF training institute

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders ( NAGAFF) has indicated interest in registering its training arm as a Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) accredited training institution.

In response to the invitation by CRFFN for applications for accreditation of training institutions, NAGAFF had last month submitted an application to that effect

SHIPS & PORTS DAILY sighted a letter signed by the CRFFN Registrar, Mike Jukwe, dated 23rd June 2014 and addressed to the Rector NAGAFF Training Institute, which acknowledged receipt of NAGAFF’s application.

Jukwe had in the letter congratulated NAGAFF for being “the first accredited association of freight forwarders to respond to CRFFN’s clarion call for accredited associations to put in place training institutions to offer professional training to their members.”

The CRFFN registrar had stated that his team will carry out a pre- accreditation visit to the NAGAFF training institution even as he noted that the institution will only take on CRFFN accredited programmes including Certificate in Freight Forwarding, Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management, Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Executive Diploma in Freight Forwarding  if accredited.

He also stated that in compliance with CRFFN’s eligibility for consideration of Accreditation of Training Institutions NAGAFF is required to pay a non refundable application fee of N100,000.
