The Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Ezra Yakusak, has put the value of Nigeria’s non-oil export in the first half of 2022 at $2.6 billion.
He said this in Ado Ekiti during a two-day export hand-holding programme organised by the council for young entrepreneurs in Ekiti State.
Represented by the Assistant Director, NEPC National Export Office, Olu Ikulajolu, he urged youths to increase their participation in the Federal Government’s economic diversification agenda for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
“It will interest you to note that the non-oil export performance in the first half of 2022 was put at about $2.6 billion representing increase of 62.37 per cent compared with $1.6 billion recorded during the same period in 2012,” he said.
The Trade Promotion Advisor, NEPC Ekiti Export Assistance Office, Iyabode Abe, said the workshop was to provide a platform to encourage youths to participate in the global market to create employment and boost non-oil export trade.
