Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has appointed Olurotimi Anifowose as the Coordinator of its South West Zonal Coordinating Office.
Anifowose replaces Tolulope Jaiyeola who has been redeployed to the Council’s corporate head office in Lagos.
A 1988 alumnus of Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye and a 1991 alumnus of the University of Lagos, Anifowose,in his new position is saddled with the responsibilities of coordinating the functions and activities of the Council in Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun and Kwara States.
He joined NSC in 1992 as Public Relations Officer I and was involved in the conceptualization and implementation of the organisation’s corporate communications strategies up until 2010 when he was redeployed as the Head, Industrial Relations and Welfare Services.
Anifowose has attended several workshops, conferences and seminars both locally and internationally notable among which are Alternative Dispute Resolution Course, Speech Writers’ Course, Managing Corporate Affairs Functions, Effective Corporate Relations Management for the Shipping Industry, International Labour Standards & Workers Rights / Privileges Workshop, Leadership Skills Enhancement Workshop, International Labour Conference: Understanding Industrial Relations Management & Labour Union Roles in Organisational Development and Capacity Building on Key Competencies for Leadership Development.
He is a member of many professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; International Dispute Resolution Institute and Energy Institute Nigeria.
He has since resumed in his new position.
