Four men charged for stealing diving company’s thruster blade 

Four docked for stealing items worth N.7m at Apapa port

Four men identified as Nnamdi Anonye (33), Edwin Titus (22), Itoro Paul (28) and Friday Hashiet (43) have been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing one thruster blade worth N3.6 million, property of Hydrodive Nigeria Limited.

The prosecutor, Alexander Esebamen told the court that the defendants committed the offence on December 15, 2017 at Hydrodive Nigeria Limited in Kirirkiri Lighter Terminal, Apapa.

According to him, the offence contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

However, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge bothering on conspiracy and stealing.

The Magistrate, Mrs Osho Adebiyi granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

She adjourned the case till February 5, 2018 for mention.
